Classes are available to boys and girls beginning at the age of three. Our goal is to place each student in a class that is challenging, yet still provides a positive experience at beginner through advanced levels.
TINY TOTS (age 3)
Little dancers will make new friends while learning beginning ballet and tap steps in a fun, creative dance class using age appropriate exercises, dance steps, music, and terminology. A great introduction to the world of dance!
COMBINATION I and II (combined ballet and tap class for ages 4 through 5)
Basic ballet and tap terminology, rhythm, fine motor skills and muscle development are taught through children’s song and dance routines. Youngsters benefit from this overall learning experience while preparing to advance to the next level of dance.
TAP (ages 6 and up)
Combining rhythm, timing, coordination and style, tap continues to be a favorite in the dance world. As they progress, KAD students may audition for Mini, Junior and Senior Kicklines, “Kids On Tap” Company, and the Tap Apprentice Company.
JAZZ/HIP HOP (ages 6 and up)
Taught to exciting contemporary music by dynamic instructors. Jazz/Hip Hop has become one of KAD’s most popular forms of dance.
BALLET (ages 6 and up)
Classical ballet with concentration on barre and centre work. At the intermediate and advanced levels, it is highly recommended that students take more than one ballet class per week.
For the advanced ballet student upon teacher recommendation, in addition to regular ballet classes.
LYRICAL (ages 8 and up)
This beautiful contemporary dance form incorporates Jazz, Ballet and Modern techniques, while maintaining classical lines and movements.
DANCE TECHNIQUE (ages 12 thru adult)
Students will improve their technique, placement, and skills using barre exercises, floor stretching and conditioning. Center floor work includes turns, jumps, and leaps.
MUSICAL THEATRE (ages 6 and up)
Theater-style dance using the music from classic and current Broadway musicals.
BALLET BARRE WORKOUT (ages 13 thru adult)
Get a full body workout with floor exercises and the ballet barre. Non-impact exercise for balance, strenght, stretch and lengthening of muscles. Tone and firm with the grace and poise of a dancer.
ADULT BALLET/JAZZ FUSION
This class tones, stretches, and creates cardio activity while learning basic ballet and jazz technique. Adults, Open Level.
